NASDAQ’S HEAD OF ASIA PACIFIC TO SPEAK AT TUNA 2010

  
Mr. Eric Landheer, the Head of Asia Pacific for the NASDAQ OMX Group based in Hong Kong, has agreed to speak at TUNA 2010.  This will be the first time INFOFISH Tuna conference invites a stock market expert to enlighten and update the delegates on the current global financial scenario. Mr. Landheer will speak on Lessons Learned from the Global Financial Crisis: Opportunities and Challenges in the New Decade, to be slotted on the first session of the conference

 

As the head of Asia Pacific Mr. Landheer’s geographical coverage includes Northeast and Southeast Asia as well as Australiasia.  In addition to managing the Asia Pacific team and working closely with prospects, listed companies and constituents, he is often quoted in the press and has spoken at numerous conferences and events throughout Asia.   He has spearheaded NASDAQ's expansion in Asia and under his leadership over the past 3 years, NASDAQ has more than doubled its number of listed Chinese enterprises to its current 125 and China has become NASDAQ's single largest source of Non-US listings.      

Before heading the Asia region, he led NASDAQ’s new listings efforts in the Western US. He has more than 16 years experience in the financial markets.

Prior to joining NASDAQ in 2003, Mr. Landheer worked in institutional sales to major US mutual funds and hedge funds as well as equity finance. He is an honors graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and speaks Mandarin Chinese.  Eric also serves on the advisory board of The Asian Business Center at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
